Our Vision
Christian Community Church (CCC) seeks to glorify God by providing a balanced environment of biblical truth and love to promote individual and corporate maturity in Christ (Ephesians 4.11-16). The church aims to nurture the development of this environment by...
- encouraging biblical worship (John 4:23; Philippians 3:3);
- building up believers in their understanding and application of the Scriptures (Ephesians 2:20-22; 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 3:9; 1 Peter 2:5);
- proclaiming the gospel and making disciples in Luxembourg and elsewhere (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:8-15);
- fostering Christian fellowship (Acts 2:46; 1 John 1:3-7);
- defending the faith through doctrinal teaching and discipline (Philippians 1:27; 1 Timothy 3:15; Jude 3); and
- providing opportunities for ministry in the church and in the world (Romans 12:3-21; Galatians 6:10; 1 Peter 4:7-11).
If CCC seeks to become a mature local church to the glory of God, how shall we recognize maturity? What characteristics will indicate CCC has moved into a phase of mature growth and is sustaining that maturity?
We believe maturity will be visible when the church is multiplying herself by assisting in the establishment of other Christ-centered, Bible-based local churches in other languages and locations. Locally, this will mean that CCC members may be the seed families or leaders for new ministries in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg province of Belgium, northeastern France and the Saar area of west-central Germany, and even beyond. More broadly, this will mean the church must foster interest and involvement in missionary work around the world through prayer, financial support of missionary church-planters and the equipping and sending of vocational Christian workers.
